Cross Country
When covering Cross Country, it is important to keep the venue in mind and the course the team will be running through. As the background of the athlete will help frame the image.

Meet Action
When I cover Cross Country meets, I prefer to take pictures with a standard zoom lens when possible. When I took these pictures a few years ago, I primarily used a standard zoom of 70-200mm. It's important to capture the facial expressions before, during, and after the meet from different individuals of the team.
